Realtors and Home Owners book your photo shoot today!

My favorite thing to shoot…. ARCHITECTURE!  I LOVE ARCHITECTURE!  As a matter of fact, from when I was about 10 until I was a freshman in college, I wanted to be an architect.  Obviously that didn’t work out.  🙂  A few different times I talked of wanting to be a realtor.  My dad said, “no you don’t want to do that”.  I have always enjoyed taking photos of buildings, homes, windows, doorways, and different/odd shaped structures.  I was led by an old neighbor (from when I was about 5 yrs old), thank you Diana https://dianasainz.wordpress.com/ to pursue what I love.  I am working on networking with realtors in the Lake Norman area to see who could use my services.  Please pass on my info to anyone buying/selling a home.  I would love to come in, take photos of your home and make it as special as you feel it is!

See the photos on my facebook page of a model home in Mooresville, NC. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.177184339003030.57799.151496851571779

Realtors and home owners call for your photo shoot today!

This is NOT the only photography I’ll be doing.  I am also creating awesome photos of children, teens, and even pets!  I work typically in a natural setting and in a relaxed manner.  I prefer to take candid photos.  If you prefer to have your child/self posed then I would love to do that for you as well.

SMILE!
Joy

Photography is not about taking pictures….

Good day!
Yesterday a friend and I were talking about me starting my photography business.  He asked me, “what sets you apart from the other photographers out there?”.  I found myself not knowing an exact answer at that very moment.  I thought for a minute and the only answer I did come up with was that; I am passionate about photography.  I love children (I am a teacher) and I also love and am very passionate about architecture.  It just didn’t have any zest or substance to what message I wanted to get across.
Today as I discussed with another friend my concerns and thoughts, he shared this with me.
Always remember that photography is not about taking pictures.  It is about telling a story and creating a beautiful narrative that captures the very essence of a moment that will live in the hearts and minds of all parties involved for a lifetime.   That is a tremendous responsibility, so it is not to be taken lightly.  Time is the one commodity that can never be retrieved, so if a moment is lost, it is lost forever.  You are the one others are entrusting with this most precious commodity, and I can tell that in your heart, you accept this responsibility as a gift, and you cherish it as if it were your own.
These words may or may not make sense as I just felt called to type them.  I am not a photographer, I just like to take pictures.  It doesn’t take a gift to take pictures, but it does take a gift to tell a story with those pictures.  That is the difference between a photographer (you) and a picture taker (me).
Thank you to God for allowing your thoughts to come to me through my friend.  Thank you friend for sharing these thoughts with me!  I was speechless again.  By the way that doesn’t happen very often.  Ha! Those of you who know me already know that.
LESSON LEARNED:  Lean on God and friends:  Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 9 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down,  one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
This is one of my favorite photos I took while in Savannah.
